Referral Marketing Can Boost Your Monthly Income - Here's How

Of course, if you've been reading my articles even for a little while you know you need to be getting basic contact information from your customers - ALL of your customers. Get that information from prospects, too. So how about referrals from customers and prospects as well?

Let's use a chiropractor for our example this time.

Dr. Ann, as one of the promotion ideas she uses, has developed the practice of using her patient contact information for more than billing.

She sends a monthly newsletter to her patients. Because of the useful information she offers in her newsletter, she knows that even people who aren't yet her patients will find the information useful, so each issue she offers a coupon on the back page of the newsletter with a tear-off coupon set.

Half of the tear off is for her patient - the other half is for a referral patient. The existing patient gets a discount on her next visit when her referral comes to his first appointment.

(There are great ways to lower the overhead on this concept by using the internet too!)
